Every village has a story

Auyo is a small village in Iyolwa sub-county of Tororo District, about 30. kms from Tororo town by dirt track.

Auyo  has  a small Evangel church (pictured right) community to support the orphans. The children attend the primary school at Poyem or nearby Iyolwa. The nearest high school, Helping Hands Secondary School, is about 3kms away at Iyolwa.  There are six villages which we provide school fees, stationary, medicines, food and clothing. They are Auyo Village, Bumanda Village, Maundo Villiage, Bunganga Village, Ngeta Village and Tororo Village.

Bumanda is a remote village in Iyolwa sub-county of Tororo District. The village, with a population of approx 4500, is about 35kms by road from Tororo town to the East and surrounded by papyrus swamps to the south-west.  Bumanda has  a small Evangel church community to support the orphans. There is a government primary school at Bumanda. The nearest secondary school is about 10kms away at Iyolwa.

Maundo has a small, but very active, Evangel church community (pictured right) to support the orphans. The children attend the primary school at Maundo or nearby Poyem. Nagongera town is 'only' a 5km walk and has a health center, secondary school, and some shops.

The nearest government primary school is Ojilai Primary School, about a 2-kilometer walk. The nearest secondary school is 5kms away at Iyolwa.

Ngeta is a small village in Iyolwa sub-county of Tororo District, about 25kms South-West of Tororo town.Ngeta has recently started an Evangel church and whilst they have faced some challenges recently, these people continue to support orphans in their village. The children attend the primary school at Segere or nearby Iyolwa. The nearest secondary school is about 3kms away at Iyolwa.
